Large vs. Standard balcony - Oasis of the Seas

Please forgive me if this has been asked and answered, but I couldn't find anything when I searched the forum...

My husband and I are planning book OAS, but are having a tough time with cabin choice...I was wondering how much of a difference are the cabins with (oceanview) large balconies? My husband is 6' 8", so I was thinking a larger room might be worth it. And also, I know we don't want an adjoining room, but would a balcony next to adjoining rooms have noise concerns?

Thanks...and don't be afraid to leave favorite/hated cabin numbers...that's the next hurdle. :o

The D1&D2 staterooms with larger balconies are the same size inside, only the outside portion is larger.

Do not book a ocean view balcony with the sofa next to the balcony! It was awful. Our friends actually had an adjoining cabin with the bed next to the balcony and they seemed to have more floor space than us. We were in 7186. They were in 7184.

I would not pay extra for a larger balcony, the regular balconies are fine for 2 people. One of our cabins was 6650 and it was a bit larger for no extra charge. We had two other cabins mid ship on 6 and the balconies were fine for 2 people. I really liked mid ship on 6. It was very convenient to everything.

Sometimes it depends on location, we like to be on the hump so get the larger balcony.
