libra-sue Posted November 13, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 13, 2005 We are going on Arcadia for the first time in May 06, B52 Balcony stateroom, visit pando site Cruise connections for lots of info. One good tip is take an extension socket lead, as only one power point in cabin - no good if you want to dry your hair/watch/tv and charge your ipod at the same time! holiday girl Posted December 4, 2005 #5 Share Posted December 4, 2005 Hi I have just had 2 weeks on the Arcadia around the Carribean. Overall the holiday was great, few things you might find interesting......... a) The a and b deck cabins groan in the night if its choppy at all and they roll a bit b) Bar staff around the pools struggle to keep up on cruise days if the ship is full there simply aren't enough of them c) The Orchid and the Arcadian Rhodes are both DEFINATELY worth a visit d) If its full there won't be much chance of changing dinner sittings there was nearly fisty cuffs on our cruise as hundreds of people wanted to change to 2nd sitting e) The entertainment in the theatre was OK if they are still doing the Cirque du Arcadia that is definately worth a visit. If you want to see a show don't linger over dinner as it fills up very quickly f) The people on the cruise were fab, really friendly though the layout of the ship doesn't lend itself to bumping into people you have met previously g) They put two people off in Jamcia for being rowdy!!!! h) Formal nights are really smart, we had 4 though everyone makes a real effort to dress up every night

The travel agent and people on my first cruise all recommended the Arcadia. I am sure that you will have a great time on this ship. I will see you on board perhaps.
