Heading to Alaska from Vancouver and leaving kids at home with Grandparents!! I need to talk to them everyday and wondering how much are the current prices to call home per minute?

 

How much per device charge so I can contact hubby and friends on the ship?

We were in Alaska this past summer. We were able to talk to the kids st home every day while in port. So the only times we could not talk were sea days which I think we had one.

unless it has changed (which is REAL possible with NCL lately) it is 7.95 per device for the length of the cruise to use the message/talk feature. To use the app for info/acct status etc is free

We paid 9.95 for the app both times we were on the breakaway. The calls are .79 cents per minute. If you are talking about the i conceige app.

Is it even available on the Sun?

 

You can use your phone in all the ports without any charge over what you would pay for roaming in the lower 48 (for most people that means it is included in your minutes).

I am planning on using the Iconcierge app to contact friends on ship... and using it to call home on sea days... 79 cents per minute sounds much better than calling from my cabin.

 

While in port, I definitely will be calling from my cell.
