Dreams LaRomana ID?

I presently have a reservation at Dreams LaRomana. I've seen on some past post they require you to leave some form of ID with them when you check in for your day pass. This form of ID, looks like it could be anything from your Sign and Sail to Passport or DL. I'm not really fond of the idea of leaving any form of my ID at a foreign port, which is required for entry back on the ship. For those of you that have been to Dreams lately, is this information accurate? Thanks.
