Independence Day in Belize

We will be in Belize on September 21st via the Carnival Dream. We would love to experience Independence Day with the locals. Suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance.

The entire period between St George's Day on the 10th and Independence Day on the 21st is marked with carnival type celebrations and parades and concerts. But since the day falls on a Thursday, you might not see too much until closer to evening, by which time the Dream would have sailed. Maybe Wade the Gringo or other posters who live in Belize can provide some schedules of events.
