Ship time vs Cozumel time

Sailing April 16 on Allure and have private fishing charter (nonRC) planned on Cozumel day. If our in port hours are 8-7, and I want to start our private trip at 9, is that really 9 am in Cozumel, or 8? Not sure on ship versus Cozumel time, and don't want to confuse!

Your pre-cruise itinerary is supposed to be listed in local time.

I think you should confirm directly with the private tour operator what time zone they will operate under for their bookings. When I was in Cozumel, I went to Playa Mia Resort, and the guide on the bus kept reminding us that they would stick to ship time and not local time to make things easier for us cruise ship passengers on that excursion. They do not observe Daylight Saving Time and remain on UTC-05:00.
