Skagway Shopping?

Will an hour be enough for port shopping in Skagway? Are there shops close to the ship? If we only have an hour, where should we go?

I guess it depends on which dock your ship is at. The town is 5 to 15 minutes away depending on the dock. Once in town, there's lots of shops for cruise passengers.

 

If you go on your ship shopping talks... they'll have lots of shopping advice (including D_____d's International). Maybe grab one of those famous Red Onion calendars of Skagway?

An hour will be cutting it close, but it is doable. If you are just looking for Alaska souvenirs, the Alaska T-shirt Company has some good options. It is at the end of the street, closest to the docks.

Are you also stopping in Ketchikan? I've always found the shopping there better than Skagway. As mentioned above, Alaska T-Shirt co is good for souvenirs and is close to the docks.
