Gotts123 Posted April 24, 2017 #26 Share Posted April 24, 2017 Your 18% gratuity (already paid for as part of final payment) is based off of the 3 meal package price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk That is kinda what I thought so may not be worth it for one dinner. Thanks for the reply!

Depends on what the other perks are worth to you. The service charge on 3 day dining is $12.42 per person ($69 * 18%). Check the menus and see if what you would order at that one restaurant would be more than that - pretty sure you'd save money even if you just order an entrée each in 1 restaurant. happy traveler69 Posted April 24, 2017 #28 Share Posted April 24, 2017 Our cruise of 4 people went from $3457 to $2897 just because of the deals. We chose the UBP and 3/4 free. $999 for the first two and $169 (tax and port charges) for 3/4. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

It's worth remembering when using speciality restaurants that you're also giving up your "complimentary" meal already paid for when you bought your cruise. JLee1973 Posted April 25, 2017 #30 Share Posted April 25, 2017 Well I can say I just booked the Breakaway and to UBP and Speciality dinning. I booked for ports and comparing ports at the time of year I wanted NCL was only about $200 more then Carnival with Cheers. Big issue is Carnival was only 7 days and NCL was 11 days.
