Car rental facility at SEATAC

The facility appears to be offsite? Is a shuttle required to get there?

Yes, it's in a combined rental car facility located at the northeast corner of the airport complex. There are shuttles that stop outside the bag claim doors. https://www.portseattle.org/Sea-Tac/Parking-and-Transportation/Ground-Transportation/Pages/Rental-Cars.aspx

Very short ride. A few blocks. Facility is adjacent to runway/cargo plane apron so still "at airport". Counters for various operations on main level then take escalator or elevator down to which ever level has your rental brand's cars.

Another question if you don't mind.

 

Does SeaTac have a good or bad reputation for length of time in immigration? Or is it hit and miss?

 

I know a few families who've flown into Miami, NYC and Orlando (from the UK) in the past two months and had up to 2.5 hours to clear immigration.

Generally good; I have Global Entry but the regular queues aren't usually too dreadful.
