After 2:00 Arrival Time New Orleans

If my check-in time is 2:00 - 2:30 can I show up at 1:30 to get porter service? How bad are the crowds that late in the afternoon? I normally do the FTTF and am on the ship much earlier than this...so I'm a little anxious about it being a zoo.

I myself have never checked in that late, but from reading these boards, the later you get to the port the less crowded it is.

Also, you are usually not allowed in the terminal until your check in time.

We were on the Dream about a month ago. We arrived at the terminal around 1:30 and were on within 40 minutes.

Glad to see this question posted - I have the same concern, but ours says 1:00 to 1:30. I've always had FTTF but this was literally booked less than a week ago and we got the last cabin on the ship, so there's no FTTF available, which is okay. But, I am concerned about getting on the ship as I've NEVER had staggered check-in times before. Not sure when you go on your cruise - but have a great time! :)

You can use the porter service and drop your bags as soon as they start taking them which I would guess around 10:00-10:30am. You just do anything else until your check in time. So if you wanted to stop by and drop your bags then go out do other thing in the port city then you can do that and not have to drag the luggage around all day.
