instead of transporting all the diapers for a 2 year old before a cruise: where would be the best place to get the supplies for a 1 week cruise close tothe Moana.

Will you have a car? Cheapest will be Wal-mart, most likely, but it's certainly nowhere near Waikiki. Also Costco but don't think that you need an entire box of diapers for an one week cruise. :)

 

If no car, then that'll be harder. Food Pantry off of Kuhio Avenue in Waikiki *may* carry diapers. Otherwise, if you can get to Ala Moana Shopping Center, Longs Drugs there should carry as well.

Thanks Spleen. We will have car. My brother won't but I could pick up supplies for him. Is the Wal-Mart near the Ala Moana shopping center?

There is a new Walmart/Sam's Club behind the Ala Moana center...by several blocks Mauka (toward the mountains). I forgot about that and almost yelled at Spleen for suggesting walmart at all (the other one is clear across the island). Another option is the Kmart near the pier. It is walking distance and across the street from the Hilo Hatties Flagship store.

Thank you for the KMart suggestion. I will look for that at the pier. I think I will try to get them the day before when we go to Pearl Harbor and do some sight seeing but if I can't find WalMart then at least I have a backup plan.

Suebee - actually, I forgot about the Walmart by Ala Moana :p

 

Yes, that would be the closest. K-mart is also a decent choice though definitely the diapers are cheaper at Wal-mart. :)
