I was just looking over the Tour de France route for this year. It looks like the afternoon could be messy in Marseille on the 22nd of July. They are doing a time trial and looking at the course map many of the tourist sites will be impacted in the afternoon.

LOL...same here. Watching today's time trials right now. :)

 

But, if someone is not a race fan and they were considering staying in town, they probably should think about alternatives, taking into account that traffic around the city will be a mess when they are trying to get back to port. The long time trial scheduled for the day in Marseille will involve many road closures for a long period of time.
