If I purchase the beverage package prior to cruising will I be charged sales tax? I know I will be charged gratuities.

No sales tax I have ever paid.

You are not charged sales tax on beverage packages on cruises out of US ports either pre-cruise or on board.

 

You may be charged VAT tax on packages purchased for cruises out of some European ports.

What is the per day price of the deluxe bev pkg if you purchase when you board and not before? My cruise planner is advertising it for $55/per day and says that is 20% off onboard pricing. Is that correct?

I have yet to find the onboard price of DX cheaper than before the cruise. If you book online, you may cancel and rebook if a better price comes out.

For Navigator in November mine say 44 a day and its 20 percent off ( they add 18 percent to that)
