Silhoutte or Eclipse to the Baltics

We are looking at the June 19, 2018 Eclipse or the July 21, 2018 SIlhoutte cruise to the Baltics. The Silhoutte is a 14 day cruise and leaves from Southhampton and Eclipse is 12 days and leaves from Amsterdam. Any opinions on which cruise is better? I have been on both ships, so it is the itinerary and the month of the season we were wondering about.

June will be cool maybe rainy...July a tad warmer. You'll have more tourists in July but the June cruise will be the beginning of tourist season as well.

 

Another thing to consider flight costs to Amsterdam as opposed to England (and then transport to Southampton).

 

Do both have the same itinerary? What days are you in St. Petersburg? How long are you port times for each port? Are you planning on Berlin or just staying the area of Warnemunde because the castle at Schwerin is closed on Mondays. These are just a few things to consider.

For Sweden, July is statistically the warmest but also the rainiest of the summer months.

End of June also have slighter longer days/brighter evenings compared to end of July.

Warmer weather -> more water that evaporates into the atmosphere -> what goes up must come down -> rain.

They have slightly different itineraries. The Silhouette goes to Belgium and has 3 days in SPB
