The drinks being more expensive would be a deal breaker for me. That could really add up. And not taking any soda is another.

 

The majority of folks on our cruise I'm betting had the UBP as a promo like we did. This completely wipes out your issue as you are not paying by glass and soda is included. We only paid $99 pp for gratuities for the week for the drinks we wanted.

Wait, you would cash out your ticket every time you won but wouldn't want to cash out off your card?

 

I can see their point. It is easier to cash out a ticket on NCL as there are a few machines that do that in the casino like at a land casino. To cash out your card on CCL you need to go to the cashier and we have usually had to wait in line to do that.
