Late departure time

Recommended Posts

The earliest check-in time is usually 10:30-11:00am, regardless of what time you are scheduled to leave port. What time you actually board the ship is largely dependent on how efficiently disembarkation from the previous cruise is handled. Once the all clear is given, wedding parties, Diamond/Platinum/Suite guests, and FTTF guests are allowed to board, then everyone else that has been checked in. Generally speaking, you must be checked in at least 2 hours prior to departure (check your documents for confirmation). Most people say you can breeze through check-in and boarding if you show up around 1:30pm.

Unless this is a special cruise, most times the ship gets in to port in the morning. They unload passengers, clear the ship and then the embarkation of new passengers will commence. That usually can take about 3 hours tops

So most times, it is around 11 am. Ofcoarse, most cruises sail at 4, but as in the case of San Juan sailing, they sail at 10 pm. Still can and have got on the ship around 11am.
