Booking flights

I'm sure this has been asked once or twice, probably a hundred times, but I wasn't sure the keywords to search for it. AND, I know you guys could give me a quick answer, so again sorry for what is most likely a repetitive post.

 

I'm looking into booking flights for a cruise we are taking next year out of the port of LA. Flying in is not a big deal. We are going to fly in the day before our cruise, so no worries. :) But, we would like to fly out the day our cruise returns. So my question is, what is the EARLIEST you would book a flight leaving LA. We are staying in a suite, so we will have priority debarkation. We will probably use a Lyft service to get to the airport as that is probably the easiest way.(Unless you have another suggestion) I appreciate the input.

LAX most likely. Haven't booked the flights yet because wanting to know what time to book them for leaving. ;)

San Pedro Harbor is at least 30 to 45 minutes from LAX if there are no accidents or other slow downs. I never booked a flight out of LAX until at 1:30 P.M. to 2 P.M.
