Charge on board for cash advance

As noted, the time on Zaandam was the only time it's ever happened to me on any ship (30 cruises since 2001).

But my intent is never to use the slots as an ATM. I'm always playing. I often upload funds to my card and play for a while, but if I'm not doing well, I'll go cash out at the window (or get a nice, even amount) and take that to the Roulette wheel and play there. I never use my card at the wheel (except for the Carnival "Premier" casino cruises where the 3% is waived).

Just saying that the casino "can" stop you from using the slots as a personal ATM. The fact that they rarely do it doesn't mean they never do or won't in the future!
