Grand Circle River Rhapsody beds

We are taking our first river cruise on the Rhine, October 2018. Have a question about the beds. Since the ship is not so new, can anyone tell me about quality of the mattresses in the cabins? My back can get pretty cranky if I sleep on an older/softer mattress. Do you think they are replaced as needed?

We have cruised with Grand Circle many times and I always sleep well. The ships, while old are well maintained. I think they refresh the mattresses regularly, no reason to think otherwise.

I totally agree. I’m leaving in a few days for my 5th GCT river cruise and have always found the beds comfortable.

We took a GCT river cruise on the Rhine in 2015. I found the beds comfortable. And I was pleased to learn that one can adjust the head of the bed to be more upright.
