Kiwi Kruzer Posted December 11, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 11, 2005 are there ever any round trip from us to lets say sidney :D Dean Not that I know of......... unless you are able to wait out the season down here.... say Dec to April and cruise back. At one time P&O sent Aurora and Oriana on World Cruise's at the same ,but in different directions around the globe ,with Sydney the mid point. One year I met a gruop of Americans on Oriana who had crossed the Pacific on Aurora, had 4 days in Sydney, and then cruised back on Oriana, but that timing does not seem to gel these days. stebul Posted December 11, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 11, 2005 Some years HAL, Crystal, Radisson, or Silversea offer a "Great Circle" Pacific Cruise as either a world cruise or a grand voyage (no matter what they call it, that's a lot of days). Sometimes they go down the Mexican Riviera to South America, then over to Christmas Island and Tahiti, then to NZ and Australia, then to Asia, then to Japan, then back to US. Although not round trip, the larger ships HAL and Princess operate in Australia spend their summers in Alaska so there are one way crossings twice per year. There is speculation that Oceania will take over Pacific Princess and will operate in the Australia market in 2008, but we'll have to wait to see what itineraries they offer.
