YC For Non-YC Friends

Also, how are you going to police where those people go?Is there some type of system in place to limit access to other parts of the yacht club for those guests who are visiting in a Yacht Club cabin?

Anyone who's not a YC guest is quickly spotted by the YC butlers who serve in the Top Sail Lounge. The same goes for the m'D/sommelier/waiters in the restaurant. The main reason why a butler escorts you to dinner the first evening on Fantasia class ships is to tip off the crew in the restaurant that you are, indeed, a YC guest and to avoid any embarrassment on the part of either by being stopped at the entrance and asked for proof. On Meraviglia (and I'm sure the same will apply on Seaside) there's no escort to the restaurant as it is situated within the YC enclave, whereas it is at the aft on Fantasia class - outside of YC environs.

On the Divina there are a limited number of passes that can be purchased for non-YC passengers. They are approx. $100 for a full day, $50 for dinner. I haven't heard if this will be done on Seaside yet.

We traveled with guests in Aurea and they came to our room to see it, but I wouldn't host a party in my room. I believe the mini-bar and room service is for your use, not a party. To me that would be like going to any bar on the ship and using my YC card to order a round of drinks for my hypothetical group of 10 friends who didn't purchase a drinks package.

I like the quiet pool with no need to hunt for a lounger. I like the roomy Top Sail Lounge without waiting and pouncing on a table when one becomes available. If you're bringing your friends and family who didn't book YC with you, that is not going to be the same YC that you paid for.

This may sound bad but after paying for Yacht Club, I certainly don’t want my oasis to be invaded by anyone else from down below. I don’t have an issue with a discreet visit to the cabin but certainly not use of facilities. We are on Seaside in March 2018 and have also booked YC for Bellissima in 2019. We have some extra people coming and accepting we were in YC they will also book the same otherwise no point in joining us on the cruise. Our Seaside trip is a special occasion hence YC but very often we travel in a standard inside cabin. I wouldn’t dream of invading a space that I was not entitled to be in.

It did sound bad lol. Down below? You reminded me of Rose´s mom in Titanic :halo:

I do agree with you on the part of invading a space you shouldn´t be in. But in all honesty I think that people hanging at the YC without having a room there will be one in 100. Now about a party at a suite with non YC passengers, I donpt see an issue. Its your private space so no one else would be affected by that.
