new to Tahiti

I am planning a trip and thinking of Septemeber. I am flexible though....what is the best time of year for this area? i also plan on some time in Bora Bora post cruise.

Bora Bora is a must! Tahiti itself really is not a beautiful as the other islands. If you prefer to stay closer to the international airport on Tahiti you could go over to Moorea and stay. The ferry ride is just a half hour. But I highly recommend Bora Bora, it was my favorite island.

We cruised Tahitian Princess in September and loved Bora Bora. If you are into snorkelling you will be in heaven (as we were). All souvenirs are very expensive so don't plan on bringing much back, but what a fabulous place. Hope you have fun. Regards Nicole;)

I agree, souveniers are very expensive. I bougth very few for myself and none for anyone else. I did buy some edibles to share with others when I got home, though. I bought only truly meaningful and memorable souveniers. I think the islands got more expensive the longer the cruise went, for example, Tahiti seemed chaper than Raiatea or Bora Bora.
