Just trying to figure out the logistics of our trip..We are on the NCL Jewel July 9, we are arriving in Seward early on July 16th, looking at the train schedule, i see that the train departs Seward at 18:00, i'm planning on buying tickets early. Will they allow us to check our bags in early in the morning at the train station? We are also considering car rental to Anchorage.

Yes, we dropped our bags off at the station in the morning for the evening train. You drop the checked bags in a covered area next to the station buildings where they are packed into big crates. There is also a room in the station building where you can leave carry-on bags. Customers go into the room to get their own bags, so you might not want to leave valuables there.
