Quiet Shady Areas on Epic

We are taking our second cruise on Epic later this month, and since it's been about six years since our last voyage on her, I've forgotten most of the details about the ship. We did love H2O, but we are not into sitting in the sun and we don't generally save chairs. We sailed on Star two years ago out of Tampa and enjoyed the Promenade on Deck 7 where you could usually find a couple loungers with ocean view without having to sit in the sun. Another plus for Star's promenade deck was its close proximity to O'Sheehan's for an occasional drink. I don't believe Epic has a Promenade Deck, but can someone recommend any areas on the ship where we might find lounge chairs in a shaded area that still have a view to the ocean?

On Deck 18 there is a nice quite area with cushioned loungers and a small bar. I'm not too sure about how much shade is available though. You can either take stairs to Deck 18 or take the black elevators located near the buffet to Deck 18. The area is open from 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM.

There’s an area above h2o by the fitness area / basketball courts that had open lounge chairs when everywhere is full and there’s mostly shady areas... also close to the food you can get at h2o

^ Deck 18 is the best place for some outdoor peace and quiet. The loungers are the best and the ship itself will create some shade depending on which one you get. Take the elevator on the left as you come out of the buffet.
