Ocho Rios Beach Excursion: Bamboo Beach or Pearly Beach?

We've already booked the Bamboo Beach VIP excursion but lately it's gotten some bad reviews; should we cancel it and do the Pearly Beach with lunch excursion instead?

The water there is beautiful. We had a brief stop there last year as part of an excursion to Dunn's River Falls. The lunch that we had provided was excellent (arranged by our tour guide). There was a group of folks next to us on a different excursion who did not get the same meal we had and it didn't sound like they liked it. I guess it's a mixed bag depending on what you book.
