Compass Snorkel Tour- end time too close?

Hi- we have never booked an excursion outside of the cruise line....we are able to get in with Compass for a 3 hour snorkel tour that is 12:30-3:30pm. Our ship departs at 5pm - has anyone done this before? Is this plenty of time to get back on the ship? We will be on Royal Adventure of the Seas (also have never cruised Royal so unsure of guidelines for all aboard).

Thank you!

I would think so. We took an excursion with them last year and didn't want to wait for their transportation back to the ship, so we walked from the dock. Took maybe 15m, so I think you'll have plenty of time to make it back to the ship. BTW, they were one of the best excursions we've had.
