Review of MSC Seaside from Miami on 7th April (from a UK family)

While we enjoy what is called business casual for main dining, all of the complainers are not going to change this ... you are in the minority. Suggesting they have other options, I would say, so do you. At best, you may be able to convince a cruise line to have a floor, a section, etc where the rules will be enforced. My suggestion is to continue doing dressing up and enjoy yourselves.

Thank you for the informative review! I’ll be on the Seaside in a couple weeks and am really looking forward to it.

I’d like to start off by stating that I’m from Florida. So I’m very used to the casual dress code. However, I’ve cruised the Mediterranean and really enjoyed the different experience. I too wish that in the MDR they require at the very least long pants for men. Heck, a couple years ago on NCL, my dad got turned away from the Manhattan Room because he had shorts on. So my concern is that MSC, in an effort to win over the North American market, may be leaning too far over, jeprodizing what I consider should be their niche — a Mediterranean experience.

That being said, I agree with another poster, it is what it is and we are all on vacation. So dress as you wish and don’t worry so much about others as long as you are comfortable and having fun!
