This chandelier above the dining room was beautiful.

Walking next to the back of Deck 6 since we started in the middle. At the back is Manhattan Room the other and more formal MDR.

The box office, one of many ways to make reservations for the shows. And perhaps the least convenient - always a very long line here.

The first thing you see when you walk onto the ship, just with a lot more people.

Looking towards the end of Deck 7.

While Deck 6 had the casino that went on forever, Deck 7 is shops that go on forever.

Walking.

IMG089-L.jpg

Along the way they have signs pointing you to whats nearby in case you get lost.

That concludes decks 5-7 which are the main indoor areas of the Epic. I will continue in the next couple days with the outdoor decks.

Loving your review - we too have been on many cruises - most of them via Carnival - have just booked us on the Epic for the 10 night on December 5, 2018 and have a lot of questions! Will wait to see if you answer them in your review prior to asking. Thanks!!

Tour Cont.

Decks 8 and 9 are all staterooms.

IMG103-L.jpg

In addition to staterooms, the medical center is located near the back of Deck 10.

IMG104-L.jpg

The doors to the studio area were pretty much always propped open. On this day this door was not, but when I tried it, it was not locked. So being the curious type, I went ahead and explored. This was taken on Deck 11.

IMG105-L.jpg

Vending machines among the studios.

IMG106-L.jpg

Studio Lounge, there was a crew member inside so I didn't grab a pic inside since I'm sure my face was giving me away that I snuck in here.

Deck 12 is all staterooms, including mine.

Signing on each deck to help you find your rooms.

I did check out the bridge viewing room but it said no photos so I did not take any. It was pretty neat to see.

I missed Deck 14 since I stopped after 13 and when I resumed on another day, I started on 15. It is mostly staterooms on this deck. La Cucina is located all the way forward. The kids club is located by the forward elevators. And the Spa is located at the end of this deck.

Deck 15 starting at the front is the Garden Cafe.

IMG110-L.jpg

It was closed off and I really wish I had gone back in for pictures when it was open. The area was huge and had many lines to try and spread out the crowds a little.

Walking towards the pool deck.

IMG111-L.jpg

There was a small outdoor buffet offering up some food (usually hot dogs and hamburgers and the like) pretty much all day including when the Garden Cafe was closed. This became a crepes station at night.

Waves Bar and additional seating above it.

Marketplace. I'm not sure what they sell here but I think it is like sunscreen sunglasses etc.

IMG122-L.jpg

Teen Club. I did not dare enter with such an ominous warning.

Video Arcade.

Off to the side before you enter Spice, ping pong tables.

And if climbing isn't your thing, here is a jumpy thingy.

IMG133-L.jpg

Let's go back down to Deck 15 toward the front right before the entrance to the Garden Cafe.

IMG134-L.jpg

Those tower looking things are elevators. The one on the left is for Haven access only. The one on the right goes up to Deck 18.

IMG112-L.jpg

Nice view of the outter decks from the elevator.

IMG135-L.jpg

On Deck 18 is a very quiet sundeck area.

And climbing one more set of stairs to Deck 19.

IMG137-L.jpg

IMG138-L.jpg

IMG139-L.jpg

I made the hike up here a couple times hoping to "accidentally" run into someone not following the bathing suit rule. No luck, this area was always empty or being used as a teen hangout. No telling what kind of trouble they got into at night in such a quiet spot.

One thing I was aware of before taking this cruise was that there is no real good view of the ocean. No big deal, many ships have no view of the ocean without going to the upper decks. Turns out, for some reason even the pool decks were obstructed views only.

IMG140-L.jpg

The entire deck was fenced in all the way around. I was not a fan at all. Seriously, why won't you let us see the ocean?
