ancryan Posted January 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2006 I'm headed there in a couple of weeks. Question are: What is the Carnival pricing for it (approx)? Is it worth that amount? What is there to see? Thanks.
margaritagal Posted January 1, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 1, 2006 We rafted the Martha Brae when we were in Jaimaca on a land vacation about 3-4 years ago. We thought it was wonderful! Very peaceful, very interesting and our guide was very knowledgable. I don't remember the cost nor do I know what Carnival charges for the excursion. Sorry. It was an interesting bus ride to the mouth of the river....saw some small villages & beautiful scenery. You should have a great time if you decide to go. melis74 Posted January 3, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 3, 2006 We were also there on a land vacation, so I can't answer your questions. Just wanted to tell you that it was a very enjoyable, relaxing time...we had a bottle of rum punch to drink while we were being guided down the river. Wonderful memory from our honeymoon! maja Posted January 23, 2006 #4 Share Posted January 23, 2006 We booked a tour through Peat Taylor about 3 yrs ago. His driver Michael drove us from Ocho Rios terminal. It took about 30-45 mins to get there. The rafting was one of the highlights of our trip. The bamboo 2 seater rafts slowly travel through a river. Our "driver" sang to us and made pit stops along the way for beer, rum drinks and pop. It was a rainy day yet under the canopy of trees along the river we did not get wet. I highly recommend this trip. Sorry I don't know the Carnival rate.
