We are heading out on the Magica of Feb 12, two families of 4 with kids ranging from 13-17 and are looking for suggestions for excursions that are purchased off the ship in any of these ports that some of you may have experienced.

I am on the same cruise as you! Glad there will be some other Canadians on board. I have been doing some research and the "Baths" seems to be the thing to do in Tortula. And more beach activities on St.Maarten. I personally will be taking all the water/beach time I can get! Nassau-hard to say what to do.

I look forward to meeting you on board. I'll be the one who is "fish-belly" white.

We will all be fish belly white....not Canadian but no winter tan either. In Nassau I suggest Atlantis-lovely for a look see even if you dont stay long. A great aquarium and big big Casino. The baths in Virgin Gorda are lovely if you want beach time and just beauty. Tortola is rather boring unless you take a tour. Nothing much in the immediate area of the docks. See you on board

We've been to St. Maarten twice, my DW loved the shopping in Philipsburg(Dutch side) and Marigot(French side). There are great beaches here as well as restaurants and bars along the beach. We also took a tour of the French side, stopping at the Butterfly Farm.

Happy Cruising:)

In Tortola we went to the Baths, had lunch, ferry ride and private tour of Virgin Gorda w/ Speedys. --Great Day-- Get off the ship and go to speedys. It was 45 pp about 112 w/ the ship. The tour we had the jeep for just our family.

We been to St. Maartin four times, this time we did the 'America's Cup' tour; did it thru the ship. Again, wonderful day.

In Nassau it was X-mas day. Lots of things were closed. WE did an Island tour. It was O.K. We have two children 16 and 14. They loved theTortola and St. Maartin is one of our favorite ports. In the past we have gone to Dawn Beach rented Boogie Boards for the boys, stayed at the beach in town and rested while they jumped on the Water Trampoline and shopping is very good in St. Maartin!! Go to Kays' jewerly.
