Hotels near Tampa cruiseport

We are looking for hotel recommendations near the Tampa cruiseport . We will only be staying one night before the cruise so we are looking for something affordable. We are also looking for a hotel that may include breakfast. Thank you in advance for any recommendations.

There is a Residence Inn downtown that includes breakfast.

 

I believe Embassy Suites also includes breakfast and is closer to the port.

Give the La Quinta Inn Tampa Bay Airport (across the road from the airport) a look. It is an older 2 story motel style building with doors to the outside, but completely redone and was just fine in January 2018. They do offer free breakfast. You can walk next door to an IHOP. Also within walking distance are Olive Garden & Longhorn and other restaurants. Port is less than $20 via Uber.

We stayed at the Quality Inn Airport-Cruiseport when we sailed out of Tampa the last time. It's about halfway between the airport and the cruise port. They have a free shuttle from the airport to the motel, a very nice hot breakfast included, and a shuttle to the cruise port for (I think) $8.00 per person, which they will add right to your bill. Nothing fancy, but certainly met our needs for the night before a cruise.

We just booked a hotel online for our cruise out of Tampa this October... Prices were crazy high for some reason... So we booked using the "express deal" on a certain travel website... cant name it here due to rule but im sure you can figure it out. We booked a 3 Star Express Deal in the Downtown/Historic Ybor/Harbour Island area for $96 ($120 after taxes and fees) and ended up with The Barrymore Hotel Riverwalk... Looks nice and has free port shuttle... Cant beat the price for one night stay!

We stayed here. It was clean, comfortable, quiet. And a very easy drive to the port.
