Which tour company is best to go to Tivoli?

We will be spending 5 days precruise in Rome and may want to take a day trip to Tivoli. Any recommendations both pro and con for tour companies?

May I suggest you simply rent a car for the day? Tivoli is easy to reach from the via Tiburtina out of Rome. This road takes you directly to Tivoli, up the mountain. Signs will direct you to the two main sights, Villa Adrianna (Hadrian's villa) and the villa d'Este, well worth it for the fountains overlooking a beautiful panorama.

 

There may even be car rental places at the closest metro stattions, Rebibia and ?
