Allure Ft Lauderdale boarding

Good morning,

 

We are a family of 13 and all have been assigned different boarding times in FLL. Check out of hotel time is 11:00.

Can we all go check in for cruise at one time and board around 11:30 --12:00?

 

Also, what is final decision on taking a few bottles of water on board the ship?

Suggested arrival times have not been enforced by Royal for cruises out of US ports.

we normally ignore the letter telling us what time to board. We arrive to the port as early as 10 am before. For bottles of water, the ship itself utilize a reverse osmosis system that filter that water already. Water is cleaner than bottles of water. However, if you like a certain taste then I would bring bottles.

You should be able to go thru the security line and check in if you get to the port 11-11:30. Boarding will start when it starts, there is seating upstairs.

When we were Allure last summer, we bought a case of water and taped a luggage tag to it and gave it the porters with our luggage. Showed up at my room with the rest of our luggage. Getting ready to cruise on Majesty one week from today and will do the same thing. If the water doesn't make it through, meh, we're okay with that too.

We like to be at the port early and I've never even read what time we are supposed to show up. We like to get the port just before 10am and wait for them to open the doors. We enjoy talking to all the other excited fellow cruisers while waiting to board the ship.

No problem with everyone arriving at 11:30 checking in and boarding together. Don't forget to do a family photo before boarding.

 

The only restriction for boarding is when the Allure is released for boarding the priority for boarding is Suite guest and than Crown & Anchor status. By 11:30 there normally is no wait line.

 

There is no restriction for carrying on bottle water or soda. We always carrying on 2 2-liters of coke. Caution don't put them in checked luggage. There is a tendency to have to go to the naughty room to pick up your luggage. The x-rays shows that you are carrying on a liquid and you will need to show security that it is only soda.or water. You will b e allowed to keep it but who needs that trouble..
