For an interesting gift exchange, ask everyone to bring a gift that reflects their home (city, state, country.) We had one that was also a white elephant exchange and everyone wanted the Canadian maple syrup!

EXACTLY Xriva, That is exactly what I want to do. We did it before on a ship that allowed carry-on wine and the wine was a big favorite!

Just give people enough warning so they have time to find something that reflects their home. Texans need about five minutes to find something Texas-shaped, other States may take longer :)
