DVD players in Odyssey V staterooms?

Sometimes I bring a few DVDs on cruises, but on my last one there was no DVD player in the stateroom (the TV was connected to the ship's digitized selection of films). Is that how it works on the Odyssey?

The entertainment center in the cabin is actually a PC computer and the TV is the PC monitor.  You can requests a DVD drive that plugs into a USB port in the computer from guest services.  With THAT said, I tried this several cruises ago on the Odyssey but the computer wouldn't read or load my DVD movies.  My friendly Seabourn IT guy for an hour to get it to work -boot, reboot -  but sadly, no luck.
