RCCL Shore Excursions

It's pretty annoying that RCCL's excursions page doesn't allow reviews.  Can someone please recommend some good excursions in San Juan and St. Maarten that are worth the price and good for a family of four?

 

I thought the helicopter tour might be cool, but you are only in the air for 15 minutes?  What are you doing the rest of the time?

 

We initially thought the Pirate tour in San Juan might be fun, but it says its for kids up to 12.  Will my 16 year old find it too childish?

Although you're looking for info on shore excursions in San Juan and St. Maarten, you should also ask on the RCCL board. Be sure to include the name of the ship you're sailing on so the thread doesn't end up getting moved back here. On that board you might get the attention of people that have actually been on one of the available tours. Good luck!
