question about shore excursions

Hello to all my fellow cruisers.

Since finding this board, I have posted maybe 2 questions regarding my trip. This board has been such an awesome source of information. Everytime a question has come to mind, lo and behold, someone has already posed the question and there of course is a variety of responses.

Problem solved.

Except I do find I have yet another, that I have not really seen any threads concerning.

Exactly how fast do the shore excursions book up when scheduled directly through Carnival. My thought is that with nearly 3000 people on board the Glory, how much capacity could there possibly be? Secondly, I am reluctant to book anything online or via telephone prior to boarding as I feel that may confuse the issue.

I worry about missing the time, etc. I have taken the initiative to write down some of the recommended tour companies and trips. Should I plan on rushing immediately to the FunVision booking program as soon as I can get into my room or take a chill pill and not get myself too excited?

I value your opinions and appreciate any insights you may have.

I wouldn't sprint to your room to book excursions but I would certainly do it on day one.

Jubilee..May 2002
Sensation...May 2003
Glory...April 2004

Booking my excursions will be one of the first things I do when I get on the Glory on July 31. I have been reading about the excursins on the Carnival website and checking the port of call section at this site. I feel like I know what I want and don't want to take the chance of them being booked. An excursion I really wanted to take on the Victory in 2002 filled up before I reserved. I was so bummed! However, what I ended up with was fun too. Either way you can't lose because you're on a cruise!!!Enjoy

Hi and thanks Michelle.

I have also done my homework on what I want to do so I would be disappointed as well if I missed out. This will definately be something I do most urgently at my earliest opportunity.

I guess I have to stress over something, huh?

Have a wonderful time on your cruise!
