Another smuggling question

Okay, now really, can I bring alcohol on the ship? Or will I have my hand slapped and not be allowed on? I would love to have drinks in my room before evening events, cheaper on my already tight student budget (graduating with a Master's in May!) Sorry, had to add that. So, give me the true honest scoop! Much appreciated!

You have to hide it in your checked in luggage. If they do find it (which is not often) they will take it away. If they do not find it then you get to drink it.

Oh, go on and take it, BUT be sure you wrap it well in bubblewrap, then in the 2-gallon Ziploc bags. Don't want any spillage on those nice cruise clothes! That's how I take my bottles of wine and Cokes. (Actually, I take two pieces of luggage - one medium-size with wine/Cokes, shoes, etc. and the larger one with clothes.

Follow the above advice. Take two bottles, drink plenty when you get onboard and rest your mind. All will be well

I like vodka, so I took a few of those miniature water bottles and filled them with vodka and then packed in my checked baggage.

This made it sooo easy to go to the pool with my liquor. I put the tiny water bottle in my pool bag, went and got some free lemonade and then added my vodka...i mean water... to the lemonade. It was the best.

I must say though we still bought plenty of booze because bringing your own is really only convenient around the pool or walking around the decks. We always bought booze in the casino, dinner, promenade deck and yes even by the pool.
