Dianne Hill Posted April 6, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2004 Has anyone out there taken a tour with ActionBelize? Our group is thinking about taking the Rain Forest/Tubing tour with them, and I'd like to know that they are legit.
sea-cruise Posted April 6, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2004 Never really heard of them, but make sure you bring lots of bug repellent. The people had lots of bug bites on their legs. ljc576 Posted April 7, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 7, 2004 We did a custom tour through ActionBelize in 2002. We wanted to go to Hattieville, which is about 10 miles south of Belize City and then over to Altun Hun. Our driver, George was very knowledgeable and let us take out time at the different stops we made. The price was reasonable for us also...we had our own new van for 2 adults and 4 kids. I would recommend them again. Linda

Dianne Hill Posted April 7, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted April 7, 2004 Thank you, everyone, for your information. We have 26 people in our group who plan to go on the Rain Forest/Tubing tour, so it should be lots of fun. The price of $49 sounds very reasonable. Littlegoo75 Posted April 7, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 7, 2004 Hi. I did the cave tubing tour in Belize at the end of April in 2002. I did the tour that Carnival offered because I don't take chances in third world countries, although Belize has tourism police since they rely so heavily on the tourism industry. It is a great tour. We didn't have too many problems with bug-bites, but it was very hot and humid. Make sure you wear tennis shoes, but don't wear your best ones becuase they will be getting completely soaked. Also, it's worth it to bring a disposable camera - they float and there are great photo opportunities. Have fun! Littlegoo75 Posted April 7, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 7, 2004 OOps, I meant one of those water-proof disposable camera, they take great pictures and they are great for snorkeling too. Dianne Hill Posted April 7, 2004 Author #8 Share Posted April 7, 2004 Thanks, Littlegoo 75 for the advice. I would have never thought to bring old sneakers.
