Cruiser3004 Posted March 9, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2019 We are taking our first ACL cruise next month, and i’m trying to plan what clothes to take. What is the onboard dress during the day? I’m assuming it’s casual, but would appreciate any input. Also, what about evening dress? How dressed up do people get at dinner? Are jackets for men expected/usual? Thanks for any tips! DaveinCharlotte Posted March 9, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 9, 2019 During the day, I'd say whatever you want...jeans, shorts, etc. all OK. In the evening a little dressier, say "business casual," probably no shorts, though I've seen a few at dinner. No coats & ties required for men - not many wear them, although if you did prefer a coat, you wouldn't look out of place. (Just my observations from several ACL cruises.) I often still bring a sport coat/blazer, since we may wish to go a "bit up-scale" (pre/post cruise), but totally "not required" (nor expected, on board).
