Iceland Extension - Viking Homelands

For anyone that has participated in the Iceland Extension, approximately how long is the stop at the Blue Lagoon?  We don't really have any interest in partaking in the "waters" and was wondering if there is enough to do there other than drinking at the bar (wander the grounds, etc.) to fill the time.

We did the excursion in May 2018, and the stop at Blue Lagoon was about 2 hours.  As I recall the drive was about 30 minutes to and from Hilton.  We didn’t go into the waters but rather walked around and socialized with others who didn’t go in or those who only went in for a couple of minutes.  It was raining /snowing when we were there so the outdoor observation platform was not a place to hang out, but would have been a nice area if weather was better.  There is a gift shop and snack shop with tables and chairs (indoors), which all look out to the lagoon.  There is also a dining room, but that was not open for business when we were there in morning. Not much else to do, but we found it enjoyable to see and relax/socialize.  Snack shop food  was all pretty much pre-packaged stuff,  but everyone received a drink voucher.  Given it was the morning, we got water, tea, juice, etc.

Having been independently to Iceland, I think this is one country where you can easily book your extension individually and get a much better experience.
