Quantum OTS port Maizuru for Kyoto

We are sailing on Royal Caribbean Quantum of the Seas from Beijing (Tianjin) to Japan. Does anyone have info on the port- how far is it from Kyoto, what is the best way to get to Kyoto, is there a train station near the port? Is taxi prohibitively expensive? Any tour guide recommendations that will pick us up at the port? Is it better to take a train/taxi to town and meet your guide there? 

 

This cruise also visits Fukuoa and Sakaiminato, so if you have info or suggestions for these ports, I would appreciate it as well. We prefer to book ahead tours with private vendors rather than through the cruise line. Any vendor recs or advice is appreciated. We are looking at Triple Lights.
