Peat Taylor tour at Ocho Rios

We did Peat Taylor tour in Ocho Rios, great time.

Peat is a very nice person, he told us many facts about the island and also sang a few songs :)

Went to Fern Gully and then to Dunn River Falls. We did not want to do River Tubing, so Peat dropped us at downtown for shopping. Some others continued for Tubing, though.

Thank you for your review. We will be taking Peat Taylor's Tour for the 1st time in Nov. Can you recommend any specific shops that you stopped at? We too don't want to do the ruver tubing but we were thinking possibly doing the horseback riding instead. Was walking up the falls difficult? Do you think it is safe enough to take a camcorder up the falls with you?

We went to Taj Mahal shooping center and Island Village. We did not buy a lot, some rum and a few t-shirts. They are very close to each other and to the pier. A few minutes walking only. Expect to do some bargaining, though. Peat recommended a few places when we stopped at downtown, so you can ask him. He is very helpful. By the way, be careful about people approaching and trying to sell you things, just say 'No' and walk along.

We did not eat at Margaritaville, but checked out the place for a few minutes. Looked like people were really having fun :)

Walking up the falls was not difficult. It was not slippery, but some places had some tricks, and the guides at the falls very helpful. You form a line with the help of guides and hold hands with people in front and back. Do bring water shoes, it is a must. I don't recommend taking a regular camera or camcorder with you. Bring a waterproof camera and you'll be fine. Guides also do some video recording and try to sell you a DVD, which we did not buy. There were photographers from the ships who took some pictures and those photos were sold along with other photos at the photo shop.

Enjoy your vacation.
