A different drink package question

I noticed the fine print in the Cunard drink packages indicates that bottles and cans "will be served open."  I'm wondering if this is true in practice.  We like to take a soda back to our cabin for the next morning and we've never had an issue on any other cruise line.  Does anyone know if this is true?

You can have the bottles and cans any way you want.

When buying bottles of water to take back to the room, we just said we were saving them for later and they would remained sealed. Ask politely and you should have no problem 🙂
