On Eclipse right now having a ‘whale’ of a time: Questions?

We’ve been on the ship since Sunday and have so far stopped at Icy Strait Point and cruised the Hubbard glacier. Tomorrow will be Juneau and then on Friday, we’re in Ketchikan.

Hope you see the pod of Orcas that are hanging around off the coast of Vancouver when you return.  You picked a nice week.

there were some previous recent threads talking about Eclipse not running at it’s full cruising speed.  Posters were saying they arrived late in some ports (including return to Vancouver).

 

are you experiencing anything like that?

We saw orcas from the observation deck on Tuesday and humpbacks on Wednesday. The we did a tour yesterday and saw both again, including a mother and calf humpback fully branching several times and a pod of about five or six humpbacks putting on a show for us. We’ve been very lucky so far!

if there are problems, we certainly haven’t seen any evidence of it! So far, all ports have been right on time at least!
