Petedrummond7 Posted October 27, 2019 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2019 We’re stopping in Belize on the Carnival Belize the week of Thanksgiving. Booked an excursion through Carinval and want to fly my drone on what looks like an amazing little island because of the footage I might get. I just make family vacation videos and don’t use the footage for commercial use. What is the security process of getting on and OFF the ship in Belize while tendering? I’ve read we get right on a boat and head straight to the island. I know we go through the regular security process of boarding the ship after our visit but I’m wondering if there is a security checking getting off the ship? My reason is for asking is that Belize has what appear to be strict guidelines to fly a drone. But given the remoteness of Rendezvous Caye and not flying into an airport (visiting by cruise), I’m wondering if I could try to fly it for 10-15 minutes on the little island (after asking the island operators of course) to get my footage. Does anyone have any recent experience flying a recreational drone in Belize? thanks!
