Excursion/Port information

Hello,

 

Some friends and I are book on a Royal Caribbean cruise that is RT out of Barcelona and hits Nice, Marseilles, Livorno (Florence/Pisa) Rome, and Naples.

 

The information I'm looking for is any advice anyone can give on which cities would best be seen by organized ship excursion and which ports can be seen on your own. Also any tidbids gathered on past trips would be greatly appreciated.

There have been so many posts re these ports that just going back on the board will give you a wealth of info.To answer your question in the sort..Nice is one you can do on your own using the train or bus or cab or sdtaying in town and just wandering.The others I would all do a ships tour on or private.
