I am going on Jewel of the seas in July. Embarking from Stockholm. Day one of the cruise is docked overnight in Stockholm. Leaving 4pm following day. I am flying in from Vienna. The flight does not get in until 2pm. The check in counter is open until 3pm. My TA has checked with RC and they have said the following to her.

I have spoken with Royal Caribbean who have confirmed that the formal check-in time is 12pm-3pm however guests who arrive outside this time just check in on board the ship (through guest services) rather than through the designated portside check-in counters. When you arrive at the port you will need to show your travel documents (cruise tickets that will be provided closer to departure) and the security will call down the guest services staff who will take you on board and check you in.Many passengers come and go from the ship over the first 24 hours of the ship being in port at Stockholm and their is no curfew to board the first day while the ship is in port.

I am hoping some experienced cruisers can confirm if this is correct.

Yes, this is correct. You can check in all night. Have done it several times, also on Serenade in Stockholm.
