Venice port - Magnifica summer sailing

Strongly considering booking the 8/14 Magnifica sailing R/T from Venice.  It sounds like several of the Venice sailings are getting re-routed to Trieste.  Before I book, does anyone have insight in this becoming more permanent?  I want to maximize our time and will likely consider a different ship/itinerary if this is likely.

I"m not sure how you can find the exact date your particular ship will be rerouted, but it is my understanding that ALL cruise ships will eventually be rerouted away from docking in Venice. With that said, this discussion has been going on for several years and nothing seems to move quickly in Italy.
