A bit off topic, but we're staying in cabin 6001 and 6002 for our 2021 cruises on Koningsdam.  I'm curious why this is the cheapest category of Vista Suite, with the wraparound veranda.  I'm guessing that there is more wind and motion, but the view, especially in Alaska, seemed well worth the price.

 

We were in 6001 on Koningsdam on a western Caribbean cruise and loved it. Heading south we were cruising into the wind and the balcony was pretty much unusable, but the northbound segment the wind was behind us and it was very comfortable. The view going into ports was great and wind was not a problem at those speeds. I would not hesitate to book that stateroom for Alaska.
